First, consider the fact that growing cows produce environmentally harmful methane and require more land and water than other livestock. With this fact in mind, think about how beef is a key ingredient in making burgers. In order to cut back on the carbon footprint and decrease greenhouse gases at the same time, the University of London decided to remove all beef products from sale and began to charge a 10 pound levy on bottled water and single-use plastic cups.
